International Maritime Training academy (IMTA) Provides Maritime related education and training for seagoing and shore based maritime Personnel. IMTA was established in 2012 as a government approved private maritime training institute. By now IMTA has emerged as the leading maritime training institute by providing quality training facilities to the maximum number of seafarers in Bangladesh.
Govt approved training institute own campus consist of 10 classrooms, parade ground, accommodation facilities of 200 students.
We ensure for job placement for required seatime after successfully completed cadet and ratings training as per DG Shipping regulation
IMTA also has various simulators for Nautical & Engine Simulator Facilities (SHS, RADAR, ECDIS, GMDSS, ERS, HV, ETO, LCHS, LNG & LPG) and classrooms. Each one is suitable for sitting students, equipped with individual desks, an electrical power supply, sufficient lights, controlled ambient noise, and air conditioners.
IMTA Academy has its own facilities for practical training for personal survival technique, survival craft, and rescue boats in Manikgonj and basic firefighting and advanced firefighting on its own campus, Basila.
To regulate the intellectual environment of the students, a special room of the building is used as the library, which provides a wide variety of collections.
